India Celebrates Its 67th Republic Day; Francois Hollande Is The Chief Guest

26 January 2016, 67th Republic Day was celebrated all over India. The president of France was the Cheif Guest of Republic Parade 2016. First time in India, all-women stunt contingent named ‘Women Daredevils CRPF’ having about 120 soldiers had performed stunts on bikes. The main highlights of Republic parede 2016 was a 76-member French Army contingent which was led by a French military band consisting of 48 musicians which were marching on Rajpath. tableaux of 17 states and 6 Union Ministers were also the part of the parade.

Scheduled Castes And The Scheduled Tribes Amendment Act, 2015 Came Into Force

Scheduled Castes And The Scheduled Tribes Amendment Act, 2015, which was passed on 31 December 2015 by the P.M were come into force on 26 January 2016. The act was made to protect SC and ST from the Atrocities.

President Gave Assent To Central Rule In Arunachal Pradesh

President Mukherjee has signed the proclamation two days after the cabinet which was  held an unscheduled meeting on January 24 to recommend that the northeasten border state be brought under central rule.On 26 January 2016, Arunachal pradesh get assent to Union Cabinet’s recommendation on such a course following political instability in the state central rule, by the President Pranab Mukherjee.

Brazil To Deploy 220,000 Soldiers In Its Fight Against Zika Virus

Brazil’s government had said that they will deploy 220,000 soldiers to fight against mosquitoes spreading the Zika virus. Shoulders will go home to home and handing out leaflets on how to avoid the spread of Zika, which has been linked to thousands of babies being born with underdeveloped brains. Zika virus, linked to births of babies with smaller than usual brains.
