About Exam:- Recently, Online applications were invited by Ministry of Home Affairs for the post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II. There are many Candidate who have applied for these posts. Candidates who clear Written Exam will be called up for Trade Test. The Trade Test Admit Card of MHA Intelligence Officer Exam will be available soon on the official website.

Tier 1 Examination Date : 15th October, 2017

Tier 2 Examination Date : 7th January, 2018

Selection Process:- Here we have provided some information of the Exam pattern and selection process. So, candidate can get the right information about the Exam and prepare well.

  • The written examination will have two papers. and Paper-I (Objective)and Paper-II(Descriptive)
  • Both The paper will have time limit of 2 Hours and 80 marks separately.
  • Paper-II will be for only those candidates, who who come up to a certain standard in Paper-I.
  • Candidates would be shortlisted for the trade test (40 Marks) on basis of Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • Final Selection will be done after Antecedent verification followed by medical examination.

Exam Syllabus Syllabus for the Written Exam will be as follows:-

PART I (Tier-I)

English Language: It will be test of English comprehension. Questions will be asked from antonyms, synonyms, grammar, one word substitution, idioms & phrases, Passage, Cloze Test, Jumble Sentences etc.

General Awareness: Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc.

Note:- Candidates are advised to focus on World History & World geography, as questions from this part frequently came in the Objective Test.

Quantitative Aptitude:- Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Candidates need to be focus on Basics of Mathematics & Simplification.

Reasoning:- Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure, Non Verbal Reasoning.

PART I  (Tier-II)

Descriptive Exam:- Paper 2 Will be Descriptive Type Test on English Language. Questions will be from English: Essay, Précis writing, Comprehension and Business/Office Correspondence. This part will be designed to Check  English Writing Skill & Analytical Ability.
