ISRO Successfully Launched The Fifth Navigation Satellite IRNSS-1E

Indian Space Research Institute has successfully launch Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS-1E) on 20th Jan 2016. The lift off took place in Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. IRNSS-1E also carries Corner Cube Retro Reflectors for laser ranging.

Taliban Kill 20 In Attack At Bacha Khan University In Pakistan

On 20th Jan, 2016 a group of terrorists militant entered in the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, Pakistan and killed at least 25 persons (many others were injured). As per as media reports, the terrorists open fire in hostels and classrooms in which students were threatened to death. In the aftermath Tehreek-e-Taliban has claimed the attack.

MoU Between India & Britain For Cooperation In Public Administration

India and Britain has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for public cooperation in many fields like service delivery, government process re-engineering, building and developing staff capability, etc. The union cabinet has given approval to this MoU on 20th Jan 2016.

Oldest Christian monastery in Iraq razed by IS

Islamic State has demolish a 1400 years old christian monastery in Iraq. Satellite images have confirmed that many ancient artifacts of great historical value has been destroyed by IS.
